Can I tell if someone has read my text message?

Unfortunately it is not possible for us to tell you if someone has read your message. This feature, typically called a read receipt, is not supported by standard text messaging (aka SMS or "the green bubbles") that we use in Unlisted.

So why do other apps show read receipts? Apps that show a read receipt, such as WhatsApp and iMessage, require both users to be using the same app. Because they are both using the same app, the provider has this information available to them. 

In Unlisted, you can send a message to anyone and they don't need to have Unlisted on their phone. We deliver your message to their carrier but don't have any further information after this. Flipped around, this also means that others can't tell if you have read their messages.
