Will reveal no caller ID apps show my real number when I use Unlisted?
There are some apps that will reveal no caller ID calls, like MaskOff or TrapCall. However, these will not reveal your real number when you use Unlisted.
The reason is that Unlisted calls (and texts) aren't made from your real number and then hidden. Instead, we initiate the call from your actual Unlisted number. Calls from your Unlisted number don't show up as "No Caller ID," they show up as the phone number that you have for your Unlisted number.
So, in short, the answer is no. Reveal "No Caller ID" apps like MaskOff and TrapCall do not work against Unlisted numbers. They are different technologies entirely. Use your Unlisted number and your real phone number will never enter the picture; there is complete separation between the numbers.
We would be remiss in pointing out that if you have been trying to block your caller ID using *67 or similar, an app like MaskOff or TrapCall can and will reveal your real phone number. For complete protection, download Unlisted and create a brand new number that is immune from these apps.
